Frequently asked questions
The length of therapy varies for each person. As a solution-focused therapist, I work with clients to set goals and agree on a number of sessions that feels comfortable and realistic. We will regularly review your progress together. If your needs change, or if we determine that a different approach or referral might be more helpful, we’ll adjust the treatment plan accordingly. My goal is not to keep you in therapy longer than necessary, but to help you see meaningful progress and results.
I offer secure online therapy services available to clients anywhere in Texas. I know it can feel overwhelming to add one more appointment into an already busy schedule — commuting, parking, or rearranging your day just to sit in an office. Online sessions give you the convenience of receiving care from your own home, your office, or wherever you feel most comfortable, without losing the depth and connection of therapy.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.
First late cancellation: waived as a courtesy.
After that: a $75 fee will be charged for late cancellations.
No-shows: may be billed at the full session rate.
I understand that life happens, so if there’s an emergency, please reach out as soon as possible so we can work together on a solution.
You Can Use Your HSA or FSA for Therapy
At Solura Therapy, counseling is considered a qualified medical expense under IRS guidelines. This means you can use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to pay for eligible sessions.
What You Can Pay For
You can use your HSA or FSA for:
Individual therapy sessions
Couples or family therapy
Supervised sessions with an LPC Associate
Diagnostic assessments or treatment related to mental health
Note: Coaching, education-based, or non-clinical services (like mentorship or photo-based self-growth programs) may not qualify.
How to Pay
Use your HSA or FSA card directly when paying for your session.
Most cards are accepted just like a debit or credit card.
If your card doesn’t process automatically, you can:
Pay with another card, and
Submit your receipt or superbill to your HSA/FSA administrator for reimbursement.
Keep Your Documentation
Always keep your:
Session receipts
Superbill (if requested)
These documents show the date, service, and provider information in case your HSA/FSA administrator or the IRS needs proof that the expense was for mental health care.
Important Tips
You don’t need to submit claims or be “in-network.”
The payment goes directly to Solura Therapy, not your insurance company.
If your HSA/FSA card is ever declined, contact your administrator — some cards only work with certain provider categories.
